Juno Temple Recreates Jennifer Lopez’s Iconic ‘Gigli’ Dress at ‘Ted Lasso’ Premiere

Juno Temple is officially “Juno from the block.” The Ted Lasso star turned heads at the New York City premiere of Season 4, stepping onto the red carpet in a stunning turquoise vintage Gucci design that fashion fans may recognize from Jennifer Lopez’s 2003 Gigli premiere.

Temple’s look was a striking revival of the Tom Ford-era Gucci design, featuring a plunging lace-up bodice, delicate cutout details and a dramatic floor-length silhouette. While Lopez famously wore a chocolate-brown version of the dress nearly 25 years ago, Temple gave the archival look a completely different energy in vibrant turquoise.

Juno Temple Gives a Vintage Gucci Dress a Fresh Spin

Temple styled the silky turquoise gown with her signature curly blonde hair and a sparkling statement choker. She also carried an eye-catching Judith Leiber crystal clutch shaped like a hot dog, complete with mustard detailing.

Her accessories added even more sparkle to the look, including a dramatic diamond choker from Jacob & Co. featuring emerald-cut stones arranged in a lattice design. Crystal-covered platform heels completed the glamorous ensemble.

The actress also owns the vintage dress herself, making the red-carpet appearance even more special.

Temple previously revealed that she found the extraordinary turquoise gown while searching for vintage fashion online. She has described herself as a passionate vintage collector and reportedly paid just $180 for the piece.

Jennifer Lopez Wore the Original Look in 2003

Jennifer Lopez previously wore the same Gucci design to the Los Angeles premiere of Gigli in 2003.

Lopez opted for a chocolate-brown version of the dress and styled it with her hair swept into an elegant updo. Instead of a statement necklace, she accessorized with dramatic earrings and kept the rest of the look relatively understated.

More than two decades later, Temple’s turquoise interpretation shows just how timeless the Tom Ford-era Gucci design remains.

Juno Temple’s Vintage Fashion Moment

Temple has become known for her love of vintage fashion, and this Gucci dress is one of her most memorable archival finds. The actress previously revealed that she discovered the dress while searching for vintage pieces online and paid only $180 for it.

The Juno Temple Gucci dress proves that a great red-carpet design can remain stylish decades after its original debut.
