Benson Boone Reveals Awkward Fan Encounter Backstage at Concert
Benson Boone fan backstage encounter has become one of the singer’s most awkward concert stories. The 24-year-old “Beautiful Things” singer recently revealed that a fan unexpectedly walked in on him in a shared backstage bathroom during the early days of his touring career.
Boone shared the embarrassing story during an appearance on the Life Uncut podcast, explaining that the incident happened about two and a half years ago, when he was still getting started as a touring artist.
Benson Boone Fan Backstage Encounter Gets Extremely Awkward
Boone explained that the venue did not have a private backstage bathroom for him at the time. Instead, the bathroom he was using was also accessible to concertgoers.
The singer said he initially didn’t realize that audience members could use the same restroom.
That became a problem when Boone and his friends decided to bring back an old joke from their childhood. Instead of simply using the restroom normally, they would completely pull their pants down while using a urinal.
Boone thought the bathroom was private.
It wasn’t.
While he was in the middle of using the restroom, someone suddenly walked through the door.
“I didn’t look over because I assumed it would be like one of my mates,” Boone recalled on Life Uncut. “And it wasn’t.”
Instead, it was a fan attending the concert.
Boone said he heard the fan gasp and immediately realized what had happened.

The Fan Recognized Benson Boone
The awkward moment became even more uncomfortable when the fan recognized the singer.
Boone admitted that he was horrified by the unexpected encounter, but fortunately, the fan didn’t react badly.
“He was super cool,” Boone said, describing the fan as a great guy.
After the initial shock, Boone pulled his clothes back up and even shook the fan’s hand before washing his hands.
It is certainly not the kind of backstage meet-and-greet most fans expect when they buy a concert ticket.
The story was originally told during Boone’s October 1, 2026 appearance on Life Uncut, where he also discussed his childhood, songwriting, and whether he would ever date a fan.
Benson Boone Shares More Than Just an Embarrassing Story
The bathroom story was part of a broader conversation about Boone’s life and career.
The singer has become one of pop music’s biggest young names thanks to the success of “Beautiful Things,” while his live career has continued to expand internationally.
According to the Life Uncut episode description, Boone also talked about not having a smartphone until he was 17, his early interest in becoming an architect, and how “Ghost Town” became the first song he ever wrote.
The interview also included a discussion about whether Boone would consider dating one of his fans.
For now, though, the bathroom story may be the moment fans remember most from the conversation.
Benson Boone’s Love Life Has Also Made Headlines
The singer’s personal life has attracted plenty of attention this year.
In July 2026, Boone was photographed kissing a mystery blonde woman in Denver shortly before one of his concerts. At the time, the woman’s identity was not immediately known.
The woman was later identified by TMZ as TikTok influencer Kyra Pollard.
Boone had previously been linked to actress Maggie Thurmon, while his name was also connected to social media personality Alix Earle earlier in 2026.

While fans continue to follow his dating life, Boone’s latest Life Uncut appearance offered something completely different: a hilarious and painfully awkward story from the early days of his touring career.
And judging by the singer’s own reaction, it’s probably a concert memory he’d be perfectly happy to leave in the past.
